Somewhere between the distant trio of Jason Terry in the first half and accumulated fouls of Dwight Howard, the Lakers found out they will not have success against Boston.
The Celtics beat the "Lakers" with 116:95 in 24 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists of Paul Pierce. Jeff Green scored 19 points and Terry and Kevin Garnett added 15. Celtics won despite the absence of their star Radzhon Rondo, who is out for a long time. Boston triumphed in all their meetings since Rondo was traumatized. They were also without the rookie Jared Salindzhar who is out for the rest of the season with a back injury.
Garnett reached 25,000 points in the NBA against Lakers. He is the 16th player in history with this achievement. Dwight Howard was not a factor against Boston after being judged foul over 5 minutes left. Kobe Bryant distinguished with 27 points.
