Boca Juniors took the lead in the Argentine football championship

Boca Juniors beat the host Sarmiento with 1:0 and topped the standings after the 16th round of the Argentine Soccer Championship. Sebastian Palacios realized the only shot in the 28th minute, and alumni of Rodolfo Aruabarena gathered 34 points ahead and with the current point leader San Lorenzo, which came only up to 1:1 on the ground of Union in Santa Fe.
River Plate remained third with 31 points after a disappointing 1-1 as the host of Temperlej.
Champion Racing Club hell broke a series of three consecutive wins after defeat with 0:3 as a guest of the Newell's old boys. Ignacio Skoko scored twice for the hosts. The team of Diego Coca is the fourth with 30 points.
Gimnasia (La Plata) continued the progress in the ranking and is now seventh with 26 points. Nicholas Macola brought the team's fourth consecutive success in the Championship, having scored a minute before the end for a 1:0 against Arsenal as a last guest.
