Loris: 'We had our doubts whether to play or not.'
17.11.2015

The goalkeeper of the French national football team, Hugo Loris, stood in front of the British media, hours before the control with England at Wembley, and days after the attacks over Paris.
'We're all aware of the dramatic events. We had a time for mourning. It's hard, but we have to play for your country, and for the victims. We will try to make a spectacle. Marseillaise will be an emotional time, special for all of us.', said Loris.
'Lassana Diarra has been through a very dramatic things. He remained silent. His desire is to continue to represent his country. We are deeply touched by the messages in the whole of England, to support, as well as those from around the world.', continued the player.
'The only thing we can do is to play football, and so to escape from the traumatic incident. All together dwelling.', added Loris.
'The President of our Federation was right to agree to the match to take place. We want to be up to their loved ones, but not to isolate ourselves from the world. We talked a lot, we had our doubts. To play or not to play? To go home, or stay together. But it all worked out. We never thought, however, whether the Euro 2016 will have it.', told Hugo Loris.
