Barcelona is going to pay 40 million euros for Paulinho

Barcelona intends to pay the liberating clause of 40 million euros in the treaty of Paulinho to lure the Brazilian national of the Chinese Guangzhou Evergrande, reports the Spanish press. The Spaniard has been negotiating with the Asian club for weeks, who has already rejected two offers of a value between 20 and 25 million euros for the 29-year-old player.
Guangzhou is unwilling to part with the midfielder until the end of the season, but Barcelona loses patience and so it will activate the liberating clause in the contract of the playmaker. Paulinho started playing in China during the summer of 2015 with a transfer of 14 million euros from the English Tottenham. He played 93 games, scored 26 goals and made 8 assists for Guangzhou.
