Zlatan challenged: If I had to, and I would go by water

Zlatan challenged: If I had to, and I would go by water
28.10.2017

Departed by many for his severe injury in April, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is getting closer to his return to the field. Manchester United`s striker broke down last season`s knees, and the club initially dropped it. The player, however, showed the will of himself and, a little later, Jose Mourinho thought he had to sign it again. In front of Sky Sports Ibra reveals what motivated him not to give up, as many other 36-year-olds would have done. `I`ve never had a serious injury in my career so far, ` he commented. - It was a challenge for me. Things have even become easier because I`ve already wanted to refute all those who say It`s over, He`s too old and so. What has happened has only given me extra energy and a goal to pursue. I took the challenge to see how my body can withstand. Doubts are over the past few years when you think about how much you can still play. The trauma, however, made it easier for me: I have one goal and it is to come back and continue to be part of the game. I`ll get off the big stage the way I got to it. I will not go down, limping. I`ll get off the scene the way I want to do it. And I`ll even do it if I have to go on the water.

Zlatan also reiterated his ambition to win the Premiership title, which Manchester United failed to win in the previous campaign. I had already said that I was returning to finish the thing. The end of last season was not the one I wanted, Ibrahimovic added.
