Alan Shearer warns of the danger of head game

Alan Shearer warns of the danger of head game
10.11.2017

English legend Alan Shearer has openly expressed his worries that he may have brain damage and become ill with dementia. Former striker of Southampton, Blackburn and Newcastle participated in a BBC documentary and warned of the dangers of the head game. 47-year-old Shearer has undergone medical tests that have shown that he has, in his own words, a terrible memory. The 47-year-old striker adds: I do not know if it is because I do not listen carefully enough, but I have a weak memory.

When you play football professionally, you expect at a later stage in your life to have problems with your knees, your ankles, your back as I do. But I never thought that football could get you a brain disease. That is why research has to be done, says the great giant from the recent past, revealing that he trained 1000 times each goal with a head he scored in his career. Alan Shearer has over 400 goals in his professional career, and in the 1994/1995 season he became England`s Blackburn Rovers champion. For the English national team there are 63 games and 30 hits.
