Atalanta passed through Sassolo on the way to the quarterfinals

Atalanta defeated the visiting Sassuolo with 2:1 and qualified in the quarterfinals of the Italian Cup. Andreas Cornelius opened the game in the 16th minute, and Rafael Toloi scored a corner after a 33-th corner shot for the hosts, who also reached two beams after striking Ricardo Orsolini and Yasmin Curtich. Sassuolo returned a goal 16 minutes before the end with a shot of Tolo in his own door, but failed to equalize even though the hosts played the match with a lesser player because of Curtis` red card after 89 minutes.
Napoli defeated Udinese on Tuesday and will accept Atalanta in early January. Later today, Roma is playing against Turin, and the Juventus trophy winner accepts Genoa. In the quarterfinals on 26 and 27 December, Lazio will play against Fiorentina and Inter - against Milan.
