Alayes took revenge from Villarreal

Alayes players took revenge on Villarreal for the heavy home defeat earlier this season (0:3) and also won their visit against this rival. Basques beat the yellow submarine 2:1 in the first game of Saturday`s 23rd round in La Liga and so still have no loss of El Madrigal after his return to the elite in 2016. In the season 2016/2017 they again triumphed as guests, but then they did not score a goal (2:0).
Success was second straight for Alayes after the home win over Celta with 2:1 in the previous round. The loss is second consecutive for Villarreal. Rodrigo Elli scored the first goal in today`s game, finding the score in the 40th minute. The goal came after a corner in which the home defender cleared the ball, but Alfonso Pedrasa put her head back in the penalty area, where Elly also headed her to Sergio Asenho`s goal for 1-0. Reserve Ibai Gomez doubled the score in the 71st minute when a very good quick attack on Alases ended, after a head start. John Guidetti found Gomez in a good position, and he took advantage of Asenhoho`s exit, scoring 2-0.
Carlos Bacca returned a goal for the hosts in the 77th minute. Colombian was in the right place at the right time to score after rescuing Pacheco for the final 2:1. Alayes moved away from the scoring area with today`s three points and is now in sixteenth place with 25 points. Villarreal is in fifth position with 37 points.
