Own goal, last minute penalty and a 0:3 draw in the derby of Prague

Own goal, last minute penalty and a 0:3 draw in the derby of Prague
18.03.2018

The cold in Prague and snow-covered terrain did not prevent Sparta and Slavia from making a real show in the next edition of the great Czech derby. The game ended 3:3 and will surely be remembered for a long time not only because of the many goals but also because of its dramatic development. Sparta was leading with a 3-0 draw on the break but allowed a second round. Slavia scored a penalty in the added time, and the final result did not delight any of the rivals. The clash of the 21st round of the championship began with a swap, and the symbolic hosts of Sparta were the first to enjoy. In the 12th minute, Anderlecht Nicholae Stanchu, who was caught during the winter break, drew from a small angle and surprised the keeper of Slavia Andrei Kolar. A short time later, Captain David Lafata, in a clean position, fired in the off, but Sparta reached the second goal in the 31st minute. After a corner kick from Tomas Soucek tried to clear the ball, but the ball to the right of his shot hit the goal.
Before Sparta`s own goal of Glory was canceled out of ambush. In the 44th minute, Stanciu scored again on the right wing and his shot came in the net - 3:0.

At the break the snow grew stronger, and no one expected Slavian`s players to be able to make a turn. By the 70th minute the `red and white` made several passes, but then Miroslav Shtoh realized his first goal for the team with a powerful shot under the beam. This was a signal for even more furious attacks on Slavia. In the 83rd minute, Simone Delley jumped highest in the penalty area and lowered to 2:3. This was the fifth minute of the sequel when Referee Pavel Kralovec gave a penalty for Slavia and the experienced Milan Skoda did not make a mistake.

Equality left Slavia 6 points behind leader Victoria (Pilsen), who has two less games. Sparta is in 6th place, not jumping to fourth.
