New York Rangers beat the host Washington Capitals with 2:1 after three overtime in the third match of the semifinal playoffs in the Eastern Conference of the National Hockey League.
Marian Gaborik realized the crucial goal in 14:41 minute of the third overtime, which led the visitors with 2:1 victories in the series. Gaborik assisted on Ryan Callahan goal, with which New York led in the seventh minute of the second third, but John Carlson equalized shortly afterwards.
