The third racket of the world Alexander Zverev beat No. 18 Hugo Amber in the final of the Masters in Paris - 6:2, 6:2. The German took a 2:1 lead in head-to-head matches.
Amber`s 13-match winning streak on the indoor hard court in France was interrupted.
Zverev won his 66th match in 2024. He overtook Jannik Sinner for the most wins this season and became the sole leader of the tour.
Zverev won his second Masters of the season (also Rome) and the seventh of his career. He surpassed Daniil Medvedev in the number of such titles and now shares eighth place in history with Michael Chang.
Besides Zverev, only Sinner won more than one Masters this year (three).
This is Zverev`s 23rd title at ATP level overall.
Remember that tomorrow he will return to second place in the rating.
