Rick Barry: Stop comparing different eras of basketball and look for the best basketball player of all time

Rick Barry doesn`t see the point in comparing basketball players. The Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame inductee and 1975 NBA champion spoke on the quality of past players.
If only I had everything that current players have. We had nothing. Literally nothing. I didn`t have any specialists in strength training or mobility training. Nutritionists. We had a difficult schedule, difficult travel.
I would be faster, stronger, more resilient, and jump higher. It`s funny to even compare how much stronger Oscar Robertson and I and other guys from our time would be today.
Stop comparing different eras. Compare players from the same era in similar positions. And stop looking for the best player of all time. When I had this status, I was well aware that I had actually screwed up at almost everything.
You can`t compare Wilt Chamberlain to Magic Johnson or LeBron James to point guards.
