Aaron Wan-Bissaka has spoken out about his time at Manchester United. The defender joined the Manchester club in 2019 from Crystal Palace. This summer he left for West Ham.
On the transfer to Manchester United
It was difficult, very difficult. I went [to Manchester] alone and it was the first time I left home. I had no one there except my PlayStation.
It was quieter than London and I like the tranquility, but in a way it gets to you more because of the lack of anonymity and escape. Because Manchester is smaller, everyone knows about everything that`s going on. You have to be mentally strong to avoid the negative things that come with it, ” the West Ham defender said.
About leaving United
I spoke to the club and they thought it was the best opportunity for me. They gave me time to think. “I didn’t think twice at the time, but I talked to my family and friends about it and we all decided it was the right time, ” Wan-Bissaka said.
This season the player has played 9 matches in the Premier League. Its full statistics can be found on our website.
