Erik Spoelstra: We don`t want Bam Adebayo to focus too much on scoring

Bam Adebayo is having a successful season in the championship. 25 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists from the Miami center were key in the victory over Phoenix (121:111).
Bam is playing winning basketball, and has been constantly approaching a triple-double for five or six matches. It`s a shame that everyone will only notice if he scores a lot of points. We don`t want him to focus on that. Everything will come with victories, he influences the result in so many different ways. His leadership skills became paramount in the 3rd quarter.
During each throw-in from the opponent, he controlled our defense. I was trying to organize a zone, I screwed up, I was late - and he yelled at me. I really liked it, I want him to take control of the defense. He becomes our voice, calling every defensive shift, making sure in every meeting during the game that everyone understands what we`re doing and our adjustments.
This all brings out a unique leader in him, ” Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra said.
