Charles Barkley criticized the media for controversies about LeBron James and Michael Jordan. Hall of Famer Charles Barkley expressed dissatisfaction with the NBA media`s constant promotion of the debate about the greatest player in history.
I don`t get into the Michael vs. LeBron debate because I think it`s poor journalism when the guys on TV and radio try to get fools to rank the players in order. They`re both great.
Michael Jordan is the best basketball player I`ve ever played against. These young guys played against LeBron. I was surprised last week when Ernie said James was only a few games behind Jordan in 30-point games.
Then I thought: And he spent seven more seasons? This is an amazing statistic. As great as LeBron is, he`s still behind Michael Jordan in 30-point games, and he`s played seven more seasons. This is amazing.
Even if you think LeBron is the greatest player, you don`t know it. And I will never say anything bad about LeBron because he is an amazing person and an amazing player, ” Barkley said.
