Bottas spoke on tests for Mercedes. The reserve pilot of the Mercedes Valteri Bottas held tests driving the 2020 car. The tests took place in France at the Paul Rikar Avtodrod.
Early Bottas conducted tests in McLaren while driving the 2023 car - the reserve Mercedes pilots are available to work all the teams that use the engines of the German company.
It is noted that for 2025, a vast test program was developed for Bottas, aimed at ensuring that Finn could maintain a form in case one of the main pilots will need a replacement.
Bottas is also considered one of the applicants for the place in the Cadillac team.
